Celebrating Small Victories

Do you celebrate small victories?

Today I am celebrating small victories, the ones that in the diet industry they call NSVs or Non-Scale Victories.

Small victories are the little things that make you feel good and help you see you are making progress, even when it feels like everything is moving slowly.

It’s easy to celebrate the big wins but often I forget to pause, breathe and consider

“What went right this week?”

I know that I tend to gloss over my wins with a “Yeah, yeah, that was great, what’s next?” I freely admit I am a chronic overachiever and workaholic.

And the saddest part of this? I teach my clients to do this on a daily basis. In fact, it’s an essential part of our Artful Profit Planner*.

“Write down your gratitudes and celebrations every single day,” I say.

Am I doing this? Nope!

I have had a few of these aha moments lately where I realized that I am not practicing what I preach (I mean teach) and it’s good stuff.

I teach it for a reason.

I get passionate and stand on my soap box to shout it out.

Just 2 minutes at the end of the day can change everything.

And it’s not that I don’t have the time, I have plenty of time. It’s that I don’t make this practice a priority, I don’t put it on my to do list until it becomes a habit.

Even though I know it works.

Even though I feel so much better when I do it.

Here are a couple of my celebrations for this week:

  • I have 46 people signed up for my new live training today.
  • I have 12 lovely women attending my in-person workshop this weekend
  • I have a wonderful new client who I get to lead through a VIP Business Vision & Strategy session in a couple of weeks.
  • My daughter and I are on day 24 of the Whole30 program – almost there!

It’s so easy to go into negative self-talk even as I read through these small victories. It could be bigger, better, more.

Then I remember what I tell my clients, celebrate what went right today.

Pause, breathe, relax.

And be grateful for the moment.

What are your small victories this week?

Pop over to our Facebook group and share. I’d love to hear from you.
